5 Places on My 2018 Bucket List

I always get very intrigued whenever people talk about bucket lists.

I've always been a huge fan of them.

It gives me something to look forward to. A goal. Some kind of purpose. Excitement. Life.

I've been reading a couple of different bucket lists from different bloggers and I decided to share my very own travel bucket list for next year. Ideally, it would be great to visit all these countries but I'd likes to visit at least 2 of these places.

Here are 5 places on my 2018 bucket list:

1. Maldives

2. Nepal

3. Australia

4. Vietnam

5. Philippines

Do you see any of the places you'd like to visit in the list? What's on your 2018 bucket list? Let me know :)

There's Still Time to Accomplish Your New Year's Resolutions

Can you actually believe it's almost November?

Damn.

The end of 2017 is quickly approaching and honestly speaking, I am appalled by the rapidness of time passing. Yeah - sure, I'm leaving my quarter-life crisis next month, but that's also making me rethink my life a little.

OK. Let's not get into that.

Let's talk resolutions. Or bucket lists, or goals, or whatever it is you call it. Basically, the thing you do to keep the year on track. If you've been reading my blog for quite some time, you'd probably know that I've decided to try "monthly goals" this year. It's basically where I write down everything I want to achieve in each month and honestly, monthly goals have helped me stay focused on what I want.

But anyway, if you think it's too late to do all the sh*t you had in your New Year's resolutions list, there are actually quite a few things you can still achieve in the final quarter of the year.

1. Get Healthy

I mean, I'm sure 70% of people had this on their goals list every year. Well guess what? There's still time. Eat better, exercise a little bit more, and have a better sleeping pattern. Whatever it is you need to do to have a healthier lifestyle.

2. Read that Book(s)

I don't exactly consider myself a bookworm but I did say to myself at the beginning of the year that I wanted to read at least 5 books this year. Let me be completely honest with you, it ain't looking too good. I've only read 1 so far. So, I'm thinking of reading at least 2 more books before the year ends.

3. Travel

I'm the worst at travelling but at the same time, I love travelling (hands up if you're like me as well). I know it may seem impossible, but if you've seen some of my previous posts, I've been to a lot of places lately. And if you've used up all of your leaves, well, weekend getaways are OK too. I love myself a good weekend getaway.

4. Tell Them You Love Them

Your parents, your friends, your barber - anyone who matters to you. If there's someone you've been meaning to say "I love you" to, now is the time to do it. What's the worst that could happen? After all, New Year is just around the corner.

5. Change Your Mindset

Mindsets are a funny thing. They can change from time to time. So, if you think you can't do something, change your mindset right now because there's nothing you can't do.

What's on your list that you still haven't done in 2017. Let me know in the comments :)

SUMMER BUCKET LIST (CHECKED) : LIFE SERIES #2

Even though I am currently living in a hot-climate country, which means I get to have summer all-year-round, I do know that summer is officially over back in the UK and also in the US. I am actually quite sad because Autumn is my favourite season and I'm sure it's a lot of people's favourite season as well :) Just because I get to see the leaves turn from green to orange to brown, I get to experience the change of weather, I get to dress up in fashionable autumn clothing. Just everything really.

Good evening from my side all you lovely people.

Since my "Summer Bucket List" post was such a huge hit, I wanted this 2nd episode of my life series to be about summer and myself. So, I've decided to go through all the things I've listed back in May and check if I've completed my list :D

So, here goes.

1. Wear more dresses [√]

Most of my friends and family know that I'm the type of girl that goes out in a pair of jeans or shorts and a t-shit or a vest. But I actually did wear loads of different dresses over the summer. (Check out the post about my summer dresses in a week post here). I am genuinely proud of myself for doing this.

2. Go for picnics [√]

I feel like I've had quite a few picnics over the summer and I absolutely loved them!

3. Beach [√]

Yes, I don't think I need to list down how many beaches I've been to over the summer. But you can check out my Bali post here and here and also my Krabi post here. I miss being by the beach :(

4. Wear a bikini & feel good about it [√]

Something I never thought I'd be able to do without feeling a teeny bit embarrassed but I rocked it (I think. haha!). I even did a collaboration blog post with ADORE ME about beachwear here.

5. Yoga [√]

6. Eat more fruits [X]

Although I did do this before I left the UK, I haven't been having fruits as much as I'd like to over here.

7. Hang out more with friends instead of working all day [√]

8. Have deep and meaningful conversations more often [√]

I find that this is very healthy for the brain.

9. Go to the cinema at least 10 times [X]

Unfortunately, I am just too busy to go to the cinemas. Even when I'm back home right now, I can hardly find time to go to the cinema but I have been 3 times here and 4 or 5 times back in the UK over the summer. It's still not 10 times :(

10. Cut down on takeaways [X]

Something really hard to do, unfortunately. It's like asking me not to swear :X

11. Be grateful & proud to have everyone [√]

12. Vlog more [√]

I have actually vlogged over the summer about my trips and what I've been up to. I will upload more videos soon though. You can check out my channel and subscribe here if you want :)

13. Try something new at least twice a month [√]

14. Read a good book. Or two [√]

I've been reading a lot of books over the summer and I think reading might be a new found hobby of mine. I'll be writing a post about my top 3 favourite books soon, so stay tuned for that :)

15. Kiss more [X]

Well, I can't just randomly run around the streets kissing people, can I? Although, that actually sounds like a challenge I'm willing to accept (haha!)

16. Travel more [√]

17. Love more [√]

18. Spend more time interacting instead of zoning out and daydreaming [√]

Something good I've managed to change about myself over the summer :)

19. Spread more joy and happiness [√]

Well, I make my friends laugh. So, I should hope so.

20. Be more helpful [√]

21. Make at least 2 people smile in a day [√]

22. Write more [√]

23. Meditate in a natural environment [X]

There is absolutely no way to do that here. The sun is scorching hot and the temperature is 35 degree Celcius every single day.

24. Take things easy [X]

Something I'm trying really hard to do but I still can't fully relax when my brain is turned on.

25. Be care-free [√]

It is kind of contradicting but I ticked this box because I learnt to not care what people think of me over the summer. That's what I mean by care-free here (haha!).

I guess I did alright. 19 out of 25. That's pretty good, I reckon.

I hope all of you had a great summer but it's time to welcome Autumn now. Whoop whoop! X

20,000 PAGEVIEWS!!!

"Life is like a coin. You can spend it any way you wish, but you can only spend it once." - Lillian Dickson

Happy Friday everyone!

In my opinion, every Friday should be a day of celebration. Actually, I do have a few friends who would always throw a party every Friday night. I have tried doing that before but after a month, I got so exhausted throwing parties every Friday and decided to just attend parties instead (haha!). But yes, the weekend is finally upon us and no matter how many million times I say this, I still get so excited for the weekends!

Anyway, speaking of celebrations.

I guess I do have one thing to celebrate today. Well, here's a fun fact. Because I have been a little bit busy with my life lately and slacking on my blog, I just found out that my blog hit 20,000 pageviews at the end of August, which is totally amazing!

I don't normally have aims of how many pageviews I can/want to get (as you can tell because I'm just writing this post now haha). I just write what I want on here and share whatever I want (as you can tell from the structure of my blog and my writing form). I've always treated my blog as a little online diary of mine. But yes, it's totally amazing that you (all you lovely readers) would stick with me and read my posts.

I'm honestly very happy and grateful for this. I think I hit 10,000 pageviews at end of April not long ago.

I love every single one of you who reads my blog and leaving comments and sharing. Honestly, it means the absolute world to me to know that I'm not the only one having bad days or going through tough times. BIG HUGS!

Since all of you have been so amazing, I've decided to share 5 current things about myself that you DO NOT know about. Trust me, it isn't as interesting as you might think but just thought I'd share them anyway.

1) I downloaded Pokemon Go on the 19th of September and have been obsessed ever since. I am currently at Level 15, if that interests you at all. Haha!

2) I do not have a SnapChat account. I know I know! I'm probably the last person on this planet who do not own one!

3) I love my 2 dogs so very much even though they give me headaches sometimes. I just love them to bits!

4) My circle of friends can be considered "small". I wouldn't say tiny or huge but I think small is the right term. I read a quote last year: "the less people you hang out with, the less bullsh*t you deal with" and I've been applying that to my everyday life ever since. And believe me, it's true and it works.

5) I am in a long-distance relationship right now which pretty much sucks. I mean, no one on this planet likes to be in a long-distance relationship and no one deserves to be in one. But my boyfriend and I are OK.

*Oh yes. It gets more and more personal once a milestone is achieved. Haha! Not that my personal life is that interesting but I just like my readers to know more about me :)*

TGIF! Have a great Friday! X

RADIO HOST AUDITION

Good afternoon everybody!

I hope you're all having the best weekend ever considering it's a bank holiday Monday tomorrow. Here's to long weekends :D

So, I took a very sudden trip to Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday to go for an audition the following day. And I actually just came back from KL yesterday. I am extremely tired because I've been going to KL for two weeks in a row now.

I received a call from TraxxFM (a radio station here in Malaysia) on Monday - asking me to go for an interview/audition on Thursday. Hence, this little impromptu trip.

When I arrived the radio station (which was massive), I had no idea it was an audition at the time because they said it would be an interview. And at the back of my head, an interview will be no longer than half an hour. I went in and saw the word "AUDITION" in block capital. I honestly had no idea what to expect.

So, I was placed in a room with 15-20 people. It was really tensed at first. No one wanted to speak to anyone. It was like a competition and I felt uncomfortable at first. But after an hour or so, we all started talking and bonding, which was really good.

The producers handed us 5 stories in which we have choose 3 of the stories and paraphrase it and talk about it under a minute. All of us had a task of writing and completing a script in 15 minutes. The script had to include an introduction, 3 of the stories, an entertainment news written by yourself, a closing to your show, followed by breaking news. So, 7 talk-sets altogether. It was confusing at first - trust me, I didn't even get what one of the producers were talking about when she was explaining this. But when it came to the time, I sort of knew what they wanted.

They then brought me into the studio where there were 5-6 people watching me from the other side of the glass room. It was nerve-wrecking at first because all eyes were on me and what I was going to say. After a few seconds, I got comfortable with the whole thing, so no biggie.

All in all, it was a completely different experience for me. A good kind of different. I loved it. And this can be something I talk about with my friends while we're sitting in a cafe or whatnot :)

I vlogged most of my trip because I think it would something really nice to look back on next time. You can watch it here if you want to:

Happy Sunday y'all! X

P/S: I want to thank my bro for being there for me the whole time :D

FAVOURITE POOLSIDE PICTURES

Good evening everyone

I hope you're all having a lovely Sunday so far.

So, I came back from my little getaway just 2 days ago, hence, the absence. But I'm back now and I have some exciting things and stories to share with all of you. But for today's post, I'm going to share a few of my favourite poolside pictures from holiday :)

As most of you would know by now, I absolutely adore beaches. If there is a beach at the place that I'm travelling to, that would be the first on my "to-go" list! However, if there are no beaches whatsoever, pools are the next best thing :)

I just get so relaxed whenever I'm chilling by the pool or having a little dip. I mean, my ideal holiday would be chilling by the pool with a cocktail every now and again whist I'm reading a good book and getting a little tan in my bikini.

And then, there's the part where I actually get in the pool and swim. I feel like I've rediscovered my love for swimming lately.

For the past couple of days whilst I was on holiday, I've just been chilling by the pool, which is why I've decided to share this post :) I loved every second of it especially because the view from the pool was exceptional!

*all photo credits belong to Eunice and myself*

This is when you know you've found a friend for life - when she is as fabulous as you :D I had such an amazing time! Not only because it was so chilled, but also because I got to meet up with my brother and another one of my closest friends.

Happy Sunday everyone! X

GIRLS' NIGHT IN

Good evening my lovely readers

First of all, my sincere apology for disappearing on you for a week. No explanation there. However, I have been planning loads of exciting things and exciting posts for the upcoming weeks. So, do stay tuned for those :)

Meanwhile, one of my exciting things started last night - as you can already tell from the title.

YES! A LITTLE GIRLS' NIGHT IN SESSION ON A FRIDAY NIGHT!

Because we all love Friday nights, don't we?

I wanted this session to be chilled and relaxed and quiet. Since Eunice was having her day off from work, we decided to plan this little session together.

I haven't really had a "girls' night in" before. Like, I never really got to hang out with any of my girl friends and chilled for a night - talking about boys, work, movies, etc. So, I really enjoyed it last night.

In today's post, I would just like to share a few things I've done last night to make a "girls' night in" more exciting and enjoyable than just a casual drinking session with your girl friends.

1) Get a Takeout

I feel like getting takeout is always a much easier and better option than cooking and being exhausted from all the work in the kitchen at home. Eunice and I opted for some Thai food last night because it's been quite a while since we last had Thai food (for me anyways). And also because I just freaking love Thai food, don't I?

For food, as well, I feel like snacks such as crisps and sweets are a MUST on occasions like these. Because when we talk or when we watch TV, there's always going to be something to munch on :) So, we both laid out some crisps and apples on the table.

2) Transform a Room

In other words, your setting. I transformed my sitting room area into a cozy little nest where both of us could lie down in, chill, take pictures and watch TV. It's just nice to transform a room that you've lived in for years into something completely different.

3) Manicure

I feel like a "girls' night in" session isn't really complete without throwing in a girly activity. Eunice has a massive shoe-box collection of nail-polishes. She decided to paint my nails and I opted for more summery colours and went for polka dots nails :P They just look so fun.

4) Mocktails and Cocktails

I mean, this is literally why girls would have nights in with their friends. To drink and bitch about the next person (not really though). But the drinking part is true :) So, I made a few mocktails for us to drink and we also had some alcoholic cider.

All in all, it was such a good night. I really enjoyed it. So, I hope this post will help you in planning your next pajama party/slumber party or anything else you want to call it. Also, it's just a really fun thing to do on weekends.

Have a lovely weekend X
