Things (I Want) to do in June

The fact that we're already in June scares me to my very core. 2018 is slowly slipping through my fingers.

Here's a little summary of the month of May for me:

I was exposed to some influential people and I got to do some amazing work. It's quite funny because I remember breaking down at the end of April - wanting to quit my job and quit my life - but I'm really grateful I was able to pick myself back up in the month of May. I've created a new routine for myself which works perfectly well for me. I'm eating clean most days. I'm happier where I am now. So, I really hope you've had a wonderful month too.

But it's time to move in to a new month. Here's what I have in mind for June:

1) Go away more often

I find that I really need to get out of the city more to focus on my goals and my end game. Not to mention, I always come back with fresh contents and ideas. So, I will try to find some hidden gems in Malaysia this month.

2) Work more

Quite the contrary of the first one but it's because I work more that I want to go away more too. A lot is building up on my plate now and I'm really happy and excited for everything.

3) Make time for friends

I need to constantly remind myself to meet up with people more often because sometimes, bright ideas will just come out of nowhere when you're talking to a friend.

4) Film more videos

I've already created some contents that I want to film and I'm really excited about it.

5) Make weekdays as exciting as weekends

One thing I want to stop doing is to live for the weekends. I want to live for weekdays too. And I know I'm busy with work but I want everyday to be as fruitful as my weekends.

Anyway, I'm off to Lombok, Indonesia tomorrow just for a little breather. So, I'll see you next week :) In the meantime, drop me some of your goals this month in the comments

June Goals

That's half a year gone, my friends!

We are actually in the month of June already.

And it is starting to freak me out a bit because normally, this time round, I'd be asking myself "What have I actually achieved in the first half of the year?"

Well, I can tell you that I have grown a lot as a person, as an individual. I see things differently. I learned new things about myself that I'd never thought of - be it feelings, blessings or things.

To be perfectly honest with you, last month was a really tough month for me. I experienced hardships, pain, suffering, happiness, sadness, you name it. And it took a lot of motivation and support from the people that I love to get out of the state that I was in.

Don't worry. I'm perfectly fine now. Back to my normal self :)

So much has happened in just 31 days and I guess I'm just terrified because 2017 is slipping through my fingers. But that is a story for another day. I am here today to share with you my June goals.

And since May was so tough on me, I found a motto that I'm going to stick to this month:

"You only have one job. And that is to live an extraordinary life."

I have come to realize that whatever worries you have won't help you progress in life. And whatever hopes and dreams you have, they are useless if you don't go out there and make it happen. Don't just settle! Your job is to live an extraordinary life and with that comes hard work, dedication and commitment. Do what you can to achieve that because that is the only job you should be focusing on.

This month, my goals are to:

1. Meet more people

Because I forgot how much I love meeting new people

2. Focus more on myself

Because I feel like the second half of the year is going to get rough

3. Film more videos

Because that makes me happy

4. Write and blog more

Because let's face it, I was rubbish at blogging last month

5. Be brave

Because I forgot how good it feels to stand up for myself and what I believe in

All of these things make me happy. And I guess I just lost track of what I actually love doing and what makes me happy. That's why I'm going to focus more on myself this month. I mean, the whole idea of monthly goals is to keep track of what makes you happy in life :)

So here's to the June. May it be fruitful and stress-free. Happy mid-year, my lovelies.

Everything Will Change

..... whether you like it or not.

- This post is inspired by recent events -

Good evening my lovely readers.

First of all, is it me or is time passing quicker and quicker by the minute? I mean, can someone please just tell me where June has gone? Like OMG! This time last month, I was enjoying my time in Bali - walking on the sandy beach, getting sunburnt, having nice conversations with my boyfriend by the hotel pool, exploring new places. It literally feels like everything just happened yesterday.

Sometimes, the only thing I fear is time. I think the only thing I could FEAR and NEED at the same time is time itself. I fear closing my eyes one night and waking up the next day to see a 70-year-old grandma in the mirror. Yes, I'm referring to myself as the 70-year-old grandma. I mean, it still feels like yesterday that I've just graduated.

And then, in a blink of an eye........ everything has changed!

I know I talk about time a lot but it's just because everything is happening too extremely fast! Even right at this very moment, I thought time would pass slowly because I'm not doing anything fun or challenging, but turns out time is still passing like a freakin' rocket everyday. The saying "time passes quickly when you're having fun" is false. Time passes just as quickly when you're not having fun. I guess it just depends on how a person sees the world and looks at things.

With time, everything will change.

I've been back in my hometown for over a week now and I've been catching up with some people who are close to me.

My cousin - whom I never got a chance to hang out with before we both started college and who happens to live right around the neighbourhood - completed her degree when I was in the UK and she's already been back here for 2 years. Like what the hell?! How has it been 2 years?! It doesn't even feel like I've been gone for that long!

My neighbour - whom I never got a chance to see ever since I turned 12 - is currently studying to be a doctor in Melbourne University. And since when did she turn 20?!?!??! The only memory I have of her was when we were literally 7-year-old kids playing on the field outside our houses. I'm turning 25 this year and she's turning 21 which means I haven't actually seen her in 12 years!

Everything seems different yet same somehow. My hometown hasn't changed much. I guess the only thing I'd say that has really changed for the past 3 years is that there are loads of new places to eat and hang out. Other than that, it's pretty much the same - the people, the food, the lifestyle

I guess, in a way, I am the one who's changed. I used to care so much about what people think about me - my size, skin colour, the spots on my face, how old I actually look. And I just get so paranoid over any of those things. But this time round, I couldn't give 2 shits about what people think of me or what they're saying behind me or in front of me.

"You become your environment" -

- is what my wise manager in UK taught me. If you surround yourself with idiots or negativity, you're no better than any of them. If you surround yourself with good people, you get good vibes from your surroundings. If you hang out with certain people for too long, you become like them or vice versa. I mean, I should know this because I am becoming more and more like my boyfriend (thanks Trev). I've changed my mindset over the past few years. I've decided not to live for the opinions of other people. I've decided to enjoy my life as best I can. I've decided that I only want good and positive vibes and people in my life. I've decided to be happy.

Change is part of life.

I guess what I'm really trying to say here is that everything will change eventually whether you like it or not - for better or for worse - because time changes everything and everyone. I will always fight to be a better version of myself and if that means changing for the better, I'm willing to take the chance to change :D

P/S: Apologies for the hiatus :(
But thank you for reading X

Destination : Kuala Lumpur

Hello everyone!

I can finally sit down properly now, relax, and blog again.

As most of you know, I'm currently on a - shall we say - long holiday. I couldn't blog in Bali most of the time because of the limited Wi-Fi. The amount of time I spent on the post prior to this was probably 5 hours - and I'm not even exaggerating. It took me about 30 minutes creating the contents and writing it, and the rest of time waiting for the pictures to upload. So, I sort of gave up on blogging whilst I was in Bali for the remaining 7 days.

After staying in Bali for 10 days or so, I arrived in Kuala Lumpur last Thursday. I have to say, so much has changed in the last 3 years. New buildings, new places, new food, new shops. I almost got lost at one point but I'm starting to know my way around the city centre after 6 days of being here.

Also, the Wi-Fi connection here is way better than the connection in Bali. But I still did not have the time to sit down properly and write a post because I was busy showing my boyfriend and his mum around. I showed them what food my country had to offer, iconic places, the night life, shopping malls - everything. It has been a really busy week for me but they went back to the UK last night.

Yes, I was there in the airport with them, sobbing my eyes out. Guess I'm not that tough after all.

Initially, I was supposed to go back to the UK with them but, well, sudden change of plans (more on that later). I have one more trip coming up and then it's back to my hometown :D

So that's just the update I have for now. I didn't want to start writing again without giving any updates or explanations as to why I haven't been blogging that much. I will be posting mostly on my trips, some crazy outfits I have never worn before, and FOOOOOD. So expect loads and loads of pictures :)

Stay tuned  X

BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE PARK + 5 KGS OF WATERMELON

Good evening my lovely readers

Today's post is back to my normal self. No more emotional speeches or sad goodbyes :)

DAY 16 OF MY LITTLE ADVENTURES: ICE CREAM IN THE PARK + WORLD'S BIGGEST WATERMELON

Can I just say, ever since Sunday, we have been having glorious weather here in the UK. It is very much starting to feel like summer. I could really use some sun, to be honest with you. I mean, as much as I love the cold, I do appreciate the bright, hot sun now and again. But that also means more flies flying around, greasy hair, sweaty face and less time to sleep because the sun just hits you right in the eyes at 5 a.m. in the morning!

It was the perfect weather for a nice little walk in the park yesterday. It wasn't scorching hot and it wasn't too windy. My definition of perfect weather. We decided to get some ice-cream and enjoy them in the park as we lie on the bed of daisies and talk absolute nonsense.

I had such a lovely time. Like I said previously, I do appreciate a nice, relaxing time in the park with my loved ones. I love sitting on the grass, listening to the birds, looking out for rabbits and squirrels, appreciating fresh air, taking in the sun - just appreciating nature, in general. I mean, it's just a perfect place to clear my head.

As most of you know, I am kind of emotional lately because I feel like my time here in the UK isn't over yet. But all good things must come to an end. I am also sad that time flew by so quickly and anxious about going back to meet my family and friends whom I haven't seen for 3 years. Here I go, getting anxious again. Hence, my many trips to the park.

But I really did enjoy myself. Clearing my head and bracing myself for what is to come :) You live everyday and you die once. Why not make everyday worth living? Am I right? :P

On a completely different note, there's this fruit stall near my place (which I think I've previously mentioned as well) that sells almost every kind of fruit.

We spotted a 10-kg-watermelon which was selling at £10! I couldn't believe my eyes! It was honestly the biggest watermelon I've ever seen in my entire life! We decided to ask for half instead of the whole thing because there was absolutely no way we could've finished 10 kilos of watermelon. We got 5 kilos instead. And here's a fact: we only managed to finish 2.5 kilos yesterday.

That was definitely something I've never seen before. So obviously, I had to buy it. Impulse purchase xP. If anyone wants some fresh watermelon, you're more than welcome to come over and have them. Haha!

Wednesday tomorrow! Can't believe I'll be travelling in a week's time! EEEEK!

HELLO JUNE + HOMESICK

"The trouble is, you think you have time." - Buddha

DAY 12 OF MY LITTLE ADVENTURES: WELCOMING JUNE + FEELING A LITTLE HOMESICK

OK. Before I start, please tell me I'm not the only one who sometimes wish that time would just stop for 5 minutes and give me a break.

I honestly cannot believe it's already June. It feels like just yesterday I talked about how I can't believe it's May. In that post, I told myself that I should always ask myself these questions at the end of every month:

1) What have you done in May (or whichever month) that you're proud of?
2) What have you done in May (or whichever month) that you're happy and grateful for?

Last month, I was struggling with these 2 questions (you can revisit the post here).

But today, as I'm writing up this post right now, I can name so many things that I've done last month and things that I'm proud of. I'm especially proud of myself for having the strength to continue on writing about my life and events surrounding my life everyday. I think it's safe to say I've spent my time wisely :)

So for once, I'm going to say "Hello June, I can't wait to see what you have to offer and what I can take from you." instead of "OMG! It's June. What am I doing with my life?!". Because this time, I know what I'm doing.

I'm living.

And I hope all of you are to :)

I've just been having loads of "me" time these 2 days. Which means meditating more and relaxing more. This is mainly because the weather has been absolute crap but also because I've been a little ill and homesick.

Most of you know that I'm going back to my country in 2 weeks time. To be honest, I am missing my home - A LOT! Yes, it took me almost 3 years to feel homesick :P Most people feel homesick the first few weeks away from home, but not me. Nah-uh. 3 years! I don't really know what that says about me (lol)!

I miss my family, friends, food (the 3 important "F"s in life haha) but most of all, I miss my dogs. I miss being able to drive.

Oh just one of my dogs. She's soooo cute!!! I mean, just look at her!

I haven't even started packing yet because everything is just happening too fast! Sometimes, I fear that the next minute I open my eyes and look in the mirror, I would see a 70-year-old me with white hair and wrinkled skin. Time is just flying by quicker and quicker each day. It's like being on a Corkscrew roller coaster instead of a Ferris Wheel.

In all honesty though, I am excited to finally go home. And I'm also excited for my little trip before actually going back to my hometown.

THINGS TO CROSS OFF MY SUMMER BUCKET LIST: MEDITATE

P/S: By "me" time, I also mean me having cake. Haha! Since the weather has been bad almost everyday, I've been at home eating this Red Velvet Cake my boyfriend got for me on Saturday.

Sorry summer bod! Haha! Never had one anyway XD
