My Weekend Playlist

This weekend is going to be a busy one for me because......

.......... I'm moving in to a new apartment!!!

YEAH!

I cannot wait for all of it to be over. Let me tell you, packing up your home is one of the most stressful things in the world! But I'm glad I'm losing some weight from lifting boxes and packing. Ha! Win-win!

I'm also gutted that I won't be able to celebrate Halloween this year. It's just impossible to decorate my new home and host a party in time so I decided to skip Halloween this year *major sadface!*

With that said, my playlist for this weekend is going to be more a hyped up one.

1. New

2. Whatever it Takes

3. Lies

4. Bad at Love

5. Beautiful Creatures

What's your playlist for the weekend? Let me know in the comments :)

Weekend Getaway: Time Capsule Retreat Edition

In one of my previous posts, I did mention that I went to a "time capsule retreat" last weekend.

Holy heck! It was amazing!

You're basically in the middle of a forest, in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nature, the sound of crickets, the smell of trees, the breezy environment - oh it was just amazing.

Here are some of my favourite pictures from that weekend getaway.

I think if you're really stressed out, a nice little weekend getaway retreat is exactly what you need. Or a nice time on the beach. I vlogged most of my trip, so if you want to watch it, the video is down below. Let me know your kind of weekend getaway in the comments :)

The Simpler Things in Life

I always tell myself and the people whom I'm close to:"remember to appreciate the little things in life". When I wake up every morning, I would always tell myself "wow. Today is a miracle. I get to see the beautiful sky, I get to hear the birds chirping, I'm healthy and alive."

Of course, if I'm being completely honest with you, I sometimes do tend to fall off the wagon. Whenever I've got too much on my plate, whenever I'm stressed out over unresolved matters, whenever I wake up on the wrong side of the bed, I do forget to say those things to myself.

See, when you're living in a big city - you tend to have a more routined life. You become a robot like everyone else without even realizing it. You work, you come home, you eat, you go to sleep, and you wake up. ROUTINED!

However, I have been getting back into the habit of appreciating the simpler things in life. Life can be beautiful every single day if you take the time to live for the smaller things - wind blowing across your face, smell of freshly cut grass, etc.

Here are some of the pictures I've taken over the past couple of weeks that make me appreciate my existence in this world a little bit more :)

Appreciate, live, be happy

Some of My Favourite Pictures From Holiday

I don't know whether it's just me, but whenever I see bloggers post something about their holidays, I always get so intrigued.

Some of you may know that I've recently visited the U.K. I was there for a good 15 days and I absolutely had the time of my life. I mentioned in my September highlights post that I got to visit my good friends and family over there. It was just amazing.

So, I just wanted to share some of my favourite pictures from the trip.

-Architectures and random bits-

-Amazing food and people-

P/S: I did vlog throughout my stay in the U.K. So, feel free to check my vlogs here.

OCTOBER GOALS

Less than 3 months till Christmas! OH.MY.GOSH!

Hi friends

Welcome to the 10th month of the year.

For me, October is kind of like Wednesdays and Thursdays. You're so close to Christmas (in the case of Wednesdays and Thursdays, you're so close to weekends) and all you really want to do is enjoy the rest of the year. Or is that just me?

Anyway, if you don't know this, every month, before I make my monthly goals, I would always review my previous month's goals. And like I said in my previous post, September was a darn good month for me and it seems like I did everything on my list apart from writing more, which is why I'm joining blogtober. I know I'm 5 days late for blogtober, but I will continue blogtober all the way till the 5th of November. Because yes, I make my own rules in life - YOLO!

In last month's post, I wrote: "Can you actually ask yourself this question: "Am I happy with my life? Am I living or am I just existing?", which in my opinion, was THE sentence that made me go out and start pushing myself to be happy despite all the bullcrap that life has to offer.

I read this quote and absolutely loved it. Therefore, I will be sticking to it this month:

"You can't get much done in life if you only work on days when you feel good"

So here are my October goals:

1. Work more

I find myself sometimes slacking (my blog would be a good example) but so does everyone. However, I do plan on hustling and working harder this month after a 3-week-long holiday.

2. Leave my comfort zone

Another way of being brave and exploring more.

3. Complete blogtober

I am very determined to actually daily blog this month and I've already got loads of contents planned.

4. Meet new people

I'm really terrible at meeting new people but while I was on holiday, I met a couple of new friends and I forgot how good it feels to talk to new people.

5. Attend more events

So, I suffer from minor panic attacks and anxiety when I'm in a crowded area. I know a couple of people that do too. But I've been really good at keeping that under control. It's all in the mind. I'm going to make it a mission to attend more events even though there are a million people in the crowd (well, probably less than a million. I can do 500 people :P

May your October be fruitful and amazing! Happy October, my friends.

SPONTANEOUS ROAD TRIP : BEST WEEKEND #1

I did not want to start by writing "How to Have the Best Weekend Ever" because I know there are so many ways people can enjoy their weekends. Some like to have quiet weekends, some like to have busy weekends, some like both. There are so many ways and so many things to do on weekends.

So, I decided to create this mini series where I share with you all of my best weekends.

A couple of weeks ago, I took a spontaneous road trip with one of my best friends. See, me and spontaneity, we don't go well. I'm more of a Plan A, Plan B kind of person. Don't get me wrong. I'm flexible in a sense that I can follow other people's plans if my own plans don't work. However, spontaneity - not really. For example, if you wanted me to jump into a lake without thinking how cold it is, I probably won't do it. I am working harder at being more spontaneous though.

Anyway, back to the point.

Both of us didn't plan this at all. It was more like a conversation between me, myself and I.

Me: Oh hey. It's Friday today. What should I do?
Also me: I wanna go on a road trip.

Let me tell you. That was one of the most amazing weekends I've ever had in my entire life.

Here's what I did over that weekend:

1) Visited a desert for the very first time

2) Stayed in a very nice hotel

3) Beach (which is a MUST!)

I vlogged the whole thing. The video is down below if you want to watch what happened on that weekend :) Hopefully this will help some of you who are planning a weekend getaway or just planning what to do on your weekends :)
